- Profile information: Preferred TNPSC group, coaching center affiliation.
- Payment information: Billing details processed securely via Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Content you create: Assignment submissions, forum posts, replies, and uploaded study materials.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Exam scores, time taken, questions attempted, and performance analytics.
- Session data: Login times, device type, and browser type.
- Cookies: We use a single
locale cookie to remember your language preference (Tamil or English). No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide exam preparation features: mock tests, analytics, assignments, and live classes.
- To process payments and send billing receipts.
- To send exam schedule notifications and service-related communications.
- To generate performance analytics visible only to you (and your coaching center admin, if you are enrolled in one).
- To improve platform features and fix bugs.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
3. Sharing Your Information
We share your information only in limited circumstances:
- Coaching Center Admins: If you are a student enrolled in a coaching center on VetriApp, the center admin can view your exam scores, attendance, and assignment submissions.
- Service Providers: We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), and email delivery services. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver our service.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS).
- Uploaded files (study materials, assignment images) are stored in private Supabase Storage buckets accessible only via time-limited signed URLs.
- Passwords are never stored in plain text — authentication is managed by Supabase Auth.
- We implement role-based access control (RLS policies) to ensure users can only access their own data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information is removed within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., payment records retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law).

- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update your name and profile information via the Profile page.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability: Request an export of your exam performance data.

Our platform may link to external resources such as TNPSC official website or Google Meet links for live classes. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of VetriApp after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
